Cold Steel Warrior Series Katana Samurai Sword
The Emperor Series swords from Cold Steel have proven to be popular among many of our customers since their initial introduction. However, we are aware that some individuals desire a battle-ready sword but hope to find one at a more affordable price. To address this issue, we have introduced the Warrior Series.
The Warrior Series swords share the same high-performance 1060 steel, heat treatment, and sharpness as their Emperor counterparts, but we have omitted the expensive mirror polishing in favor of a more practical finish. This makes the Warrior Series a perfect choice for training and perfecting cutting techniques (Tameshigiri) without damaging or tarnishing the blade.
Featuring a fully sharpened 1060 carbon steel blade that has been expertly heat-treated to a tough spring temper, this battle-ready sword is designed to stand up to just about anything you can throw at it. The hilt is covered in ray skin and wrapped in the traditional style with black silk cord, providing a comfortable and secure grip.
Adding to the elegant appearance of the handle is a beautiful brass Menuki (a small, ornamental sculpture inserted between the ray skin and the cord wrappings). The Warrior Series swords not only share the same materials and performance as their Emperor Series counterparts, but they also boast more battle-ready, practical finishes that are excellent for training and perfecting cutting techniques.
With a blade length of 24 1/2" and an overall length of 36", the Warrior Series sword weighs in at 37.1 oz. and is crafted from 1055 carbon steel. Please note that this item is not available for sale in some specific zip codes.
